Yen China Cafe Garland, Texas

Let me start out by say I adore good Chinese food and I am always on the look out for good service.  That being said I can not say enough great things about Yen China Cafe located in Garland, Texas.  My grandmother always told me "never judge a book by its cover" and nothing could be more true about this little gem hidden in a practically empty shopping center in North Garland.  There are too few small family restaurants these days who can afford to offer amazing food, generous portions, at family friendly prices.  My family of 4 can eat dinner and have leftovers to enjoy the next day for around $20 delivered to own home.

The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating taking special requests and making substitutions with no argument.  My family doesn't care for onions but loves peas and carrots in their fried rice and in all the time we have ordered from Yen China Cafe we have never discovered a single onion.  You get exactly what you want without any extra fuss.  They make each and every dish fresh when you place your order with fresh quality ingredients and yet your order arrives at your door usually under 30 minutes.

My favorite "go to" dish is the Chicken Teriyaki with fried rice.  The chicken is tender and the vegetables are not over cooked.  It reheats very well, which is great because the portions are so large I always enjoy it the next day for lunch.  My husband loves the General Tao's Chicken and the kids love the Sweet and Sour chicken.  The truth is you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu
Orders can even be placed online and they don't charge a delivery fee for diners within 3 miles of the restaurant.

I would visit this wonderful little secret the next time you have a craving for amazing Chinese food or stay in and let them deliver something delicious to you at home.

That's my buzz.  Enjoy!

Pepperidge Farm what went wrong?

I bought Pepperidge Farm Chesapeake cookies ($4.99) and Pepperidge Farm Tahoe cookies ($4.99) yesterday and sat down tonight to enjoy a cookie and big glass of milk only to find that they were both extremely hard and crunchy.  Its hard to enjoy the flavor of a great cookie when it is so dry, hard, and crunchy, that you are afraid to crack a tooth on it.  This is not the first time I have experienced this issue with Pepperidge Farm lately and I have to say how disappointed I am with this line of products.  These cookies used to be soft and fresh tasting but they have taken a turn for the worst.  I won't be buying these for my family any longer and if you decide to buy some chew carefully.

Keep buzzing around.

These cookies were not sent to me for review but purchased by me for my family and myself to enjoy.

Unreal Candy

I have to start out by saying how impressed I am with UNREAL candy.  I purchased several varieties of this brand and took them home to try.  I am very picky but I was open to trying something new.

Unreal candy produces candy without the corn syrup, the artificial ingredients, and the partially hydrogenated oils, Not to mention less sugar.

The Chocolate Peanut Butter cups are truly amazing!  They have a nice dense texture and a smooth flavor.  The Chocolate Candy Shell Peanuts are so yummy I had to stop myself from eating more than one bag.  They have a version without peanuts called Chocolate Candy Shell however the store was sold out.  The Chocolate Caramel Peanuts Nougat is wonderful.  The caramel is smooth and creamy, the peanuts have a roasted flavor, and the chocolate is fresh and creamy.

I suggest trying this amazing candy if you are tired of the extra nonsense the other guys put in.

I am not paid to provide my opinions and I was not provided samples, although I sometimes am sent items for my consideration, I purchases these items myself.
